Good god, this would be so huge that the time to download it would be immense. . . . Many users would take over an hour to do so, if not much longer. And thats only if the quality is decent. For a good movie, you'd have to supercharge the quality and make the file upwards of 800MB or more.

I could try to, but what type of video could be that long and still hold your attention? Are you looking for PVP? TBC? PVE? What?

PvP, Pve... movies for such long time are just boring... I don't appreciate such lenght Cpmbat movies. But if it's Story Line (Tales of the Past series, rise of the Living Dead 3) they rock :) The hardest thing is to write a script, It's hard to make such for 10 minutes for example :D And the second hard thing is with all those video layers if doing movie with WoW Model Viewer.

I'm working on a story lined movie at the moment, and it's aiming to be around 1h 30 to 2 hours in length when it's done (*hopefully*), except it'll be split into 3 or 4 parts for file size reasons.

It's already been in the works for 3 months, so it's not going away! XD

its allot of work, I couldent imagine editing a wow movie that long. My last movie was 10 mins long and the files/video/audio/image took up over 75gigs on my drive. But who knows what the future holds!!

Anything story-line is what I would be looking for. PVP without story would be worthless, hell anything without story to it would be worthless.

I'm In the same guild as Maquan, the creator of Tales of the past I & II.

Maquan is working on the script for the third movie right now and according to him it'll be approx 60-90 minutes long, and on top of that it seems that the third movie will be even more grand and epic than the second one. :D

Great if i'm not mistaken the second part was quiet long at around 40mins (I think) So it should be great in the third is even longer.

Right now the runtime is at 51 minutes eddited.. I still have about 5 hours of un eddited shot movie I am working on and piecing.. the story is still being written with the action shots etc..

Anyways a good long movie is really hard though and I feel that most long videos would be about 10 times better if they were a third the length often (you must keep cutting new camera angles unless there is a point to keep it smooth then make sure you are using mousekeys or set camera views)

But! I would love to see more long movies as long as they are good :)

Make sure for anything of length its well planned out so it doesn't seem to random you need a good script and outline.

Heh, I've done that just make sure in the future do stuff like that on the PTR then its no issue.

Well I never get over 100 KB/s from filefront so almost every movie i download here takes over an hour. But that's ok. I just download multiple movies at the same time while either doing other things on the computer or IRL.

The script for Tales of the Past III is approximately 75 pages long atm :S

It'll probably be around 1,5 hours, if not longer.

Basically I'm aiming at making my movie without thinking about the length, I think that's a very important thing to keep in mind - however, on the other hand, I'm not really trying my best to shorten it down, instead I'm aiming at getting a nice script together, with tons of "moments" (like the scenes you feel like watching over and over again) and at the same time create an interesting storyline. I think the art is to make it interesting to watch the first time (even though it'll be very long) and at the same time create the scenes that are nice to watch again.

And I can say you should look forward to the voiceacting! :)

Haha could be fun, though anything that involves exploiting is something I suck at, I spent an hour trying to wallclimb to that onyxia quest giver :P

Alas, it is finished.. right now I am doing the final trimmings and video work.. but the video itself has been shot edditted and voiced.
