Well, has anyone been lucky enough and got him/herself into beta? :) I personally haven't, yet :P What do you guys think about this game? Are you going to play it?

I never played the warhammer tabletop, but ill give it a chance. I didnt get into beta myself though.

To my mind, Warhammer Online is THE next mmorpg of the year (when it will be released).
A friend of mine had the opportunity to test it during the gamer assembly in Paris, that just kicked his ass.
I cannot wait the release!! :)

I have all the warhammer tabletop Including the new one

Warhammer Dawn of War, Dawn Of War Winter Assult, Dawn Of War The Dark Crusade(that's really nice)

I actually am really considering geting this game when it comes out looks really really nice.

And if you ever get a chance to play it Balgosa..(The tabletop) it's pretty nice One of my Faverite RTS games.

I recommend it.

Just so you know, the Dawn of War series is NOT the 'Tabletop'.
'Tabletop' refers to Games Workshop's Warhammer miniatures, the original Warhammer before it got ported to PC.

It is expected to be an improved version of WoW. How WoW was meant to be, just with a warhammer theme. WoW wasnt an entirely bad game, so a copy of it with all lessons learnt could be very good indeed. We shall see.

I know I may offend alot of you but I dont think WoW really gave anything new to the MMO genre. It's the same formula as any other MMO. Guild Wars excited me more than WoW did.

What WoW lacks is a good PvP system. Having played DAOC for several years I know that Mythic is on top of the PvP game :) I am hoping for a WoW style game with excellent PvP.

Exacly what uzbeki said the pvp systems in WoW is bad but i like the PVE

Anyways in BC it should be better since they totaly revamped the pvp sytem so you can do it at your own pace.

Define WoW style? I know Age of Conan will be a great PVP game, but it wont be anything like WoW gameplay.

"WoW style" for me is non hardcore gameplay, more action and less timesinks (compared to many other mmorpgs).

Yea, WoW had that, I gotta agree, the loading times for new areas wasnt so bad and I remember being at my friends house watching his mage get owned soo many times by alliance PVP groups.. and then he called his whole guild and owned them right back. If that's what you mean by action. I got a question, since I only played WoW for a little before I got tired of it. Did you get to know what happend to Arthas or Illidan or any of the surviving characters of Warcraft 3. Like what has happend untill this point in WoW. And do anyone know if there will be a 4th game in the strategy series. I loved those. :(

In the expansion you will be able to fight illidan, so i think you will hear a story of what happened to him.. Arthas is in a later expansion

Why fight Illidan, Illidan is on the blood elves side...? And he's awesome, dont kill him :(

I dont think it will be possible to kill him, i believe he will escape or something.. else it would be the end of the WoW lore completely.

thats the thing for some people. some people liked the cartoonish characters and story line of WoW. some people like that realism and deep lore that GW has. personally i love both. but more on topic na. mine is still just "applied"

If you get into beta you will most likely be able to play until the beta servers get shut down, which is usually a couple of weeks before launch.

I don't like it that much, for what I have seen of it... it doesn't seem that good to me.. I played the table game some when I was younger, but this is no big hype for me.

The thing is, of course it doesn't look that good at the moment. In the Alpha-beta of WoW it looked 15x times worse than it did when retail-version came.
Atm they have probably made a kind of base of it all, a skeleton to keep building on if you know what I mean, all the neat things that will make the game look great are still coming.

I've played WoW since the first Beta and I'm planning of quittin' it and waiting for Warhammer Online to come, and if it aint that good that I thought it'd be I just won't play either of it, but I do believe it's going to be nice, and even if it isn't going to be as great of a success as WoW was it's still a great change, and after having played 2 years of WoW you need a change.

It's not a WoW copy in a couple ways:

Warhammer is the original IP in which Warcraft based their characters and storyline off of.

Warhammer Online includes RvR.

Warhammer Online includes Public Quests.

And several other points, what I'm getting at is that if you are going to say this, you might as well call WoW a copy of EQ.
