Hello everyone :top:

so when i record now ingame and watche the uncompressed videos,
the quality is HORRIBLE! my settings are on 30 fps and FULL Size
some ppl on my realm said that Fraps cant handle with a res. above 1024x768
is taht true? so i have to play on 1024x768 to get the full quality?
sry for my english iam german my spelling sucks

Try recording with half size and turn down some of your settings in the game, preferably the filtering and shader settings.

The next thing is to go to http://fraps.com and submit a ticket, they provide free tech support.

Fraps can only handle a max resolution of 1152x864 at fullscreen. Anything above that resolution will be cut in half. Since you're running 1280x1024 it'll be 640x512. As I see it your only option is to change to 1024x768, what I did when I last was recording.

actually if you have a dual core processor like myself you can record resolutions up to 2560x1600. For 1 core processors its 1152x864. :)

Please explain how I can do this. I also run a DC system.

If you have a Dual Core system and record with full screen you get full screen, simple as that. Dont know if trial version supports this tho.

While we're on the subject... if you record while on widescreen for example 1280x800. Does fraps cut it in half or can it be fullscreened, anyone?

Nop :) GameCam got awarded, fraps is just known by more people. I own both full version cams, i prefer GameCam, it can more than just record, zoom audio effects, light effects and i dont know what + it captures 5 times better quality and fills like nothing on your hard drive :)
Fraps is okay, but GameCam > Fraps

How about I test both programs, I guarantee you Fraps is better, free and full.
Results: Fraps has better quality, gamecam used 50% more CPU power. Fraps could record at 30 FPS, Gamecam recorded at 2.
I think the results show Fraps is a superior program regardless any awards given. I'm sorry but you are gonna have the same answer from well over a million users that disagree with you on that one.
